Jelvis Foundation Honours Christ the King Parish, Effiakuma for Community Support
The Jelvis Foundation has formally presented an Appreciation Citation to Christ the King Parish, Effiakuma, in recognition of the church’s immense support toward the successful organization of its 5-Day Free Skills Training Programme.
The citation was awarded to acknowledge the parish’s generosity in granting the Foundation access to its premises, which served as the main venue for the training. This support provided participants with a safe, welcoming, and conducive environment for learning, collaboration, and skills development.

The Free Skills Training Programme, organized by the Jelvis Foundation, focused on empowering youth and community members with practical, income-generating skills. Participants were trained in areas such as detergent production, skincare products, and dairy processing, equipping them with knowledge that can be translated into entrepreneurship and self-employment opportunities.
Speaking on behalf of the Foundation, Mr. Jelvis Kwame Baidoo, Founder and Executive Director of the Jelvis Foundation, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the leadership and congregation of Christ the King Parish. He noted that the success of community-driven initiatives largely depends on strong partnerships and institutional support.
“The cooperation and hospitality shown by Christ the King Parish made it possible for us to deliver this programme effectively. Their willingness to support community empowerment aligns perfectly with our mission of investing in people and building sustainable livelihoods,” he stated.
According to the Foundation, the availability of a well-structured venue significantly contributed to the smooth organization of the training sessions, allowing facilitators to engage participants effectively while maintaining a positive learning atmosphere. The church’s support also helped strengthen the relationship between faith-based institutions and development-oriented organizations within the Effiakuma community.
The Jelvis Foundation emphasized that such collaborations demonstrate the power of collective responsibility in addressing youth unemployment and skills gaps at the community level. By opening its doors to initiatives focused on empowerment and education, Christ the King Parish has reinforced its commitment to service, compassion, and social development.

The Foundation further reiterated its gratitude to all partners, trainers, volunteers, and participants who contributed to the success of the programme. It described the citation as a symbol of appreciation and respect for institutions that actively support initiatives aimed at improving lives and strengthening communities.
As the Jelvis Foundation continues to roll out impactful programmes across Effiakuma and beyond, it remains committed to fostering partnerships that promote inclusive growth, youth empowerment, and sustainable community development.
