Jelvis Foundation Launches Free Skilled Training Programme in Effia Kuma
The Jelvis Foundation has officially announced the launch of its Free Skilled Training Programme 2026, a community-focused initiative aimed at equipping young people with practical, income-generating skills. The programme will take place from January 26 to January 30, 2026, at the Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, Effia Kuma, starting promptly at 9:00 am each day.

This initiative forms part of the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to youth empowerment, entrepreneurship development, and sustainable community growth. By offering hands-on training at no cost, the Jelvis Foundation seeks to bridge the skills gap and provide participants with the tools needed to become self-reliant and economically active.
The training programme will focus on three key areas critical to everyday consumer needs and small-scale business opportunities. Under detergent production, participants will be trained in the making of liquid soap, after-wash products, bar soap, and floor cleaners. These products are in constant demand, making them viable options for startups and small enterprises.
In addition, the programme will cover skincare product production, including body lotion, bathing soap, hair oil or cream, and shower gel. Participants will gain practical knowledge on formulation, hygiene standards, and basic production techniques, enabling them to create quality products suitable for both personal use and commercial purposes.
The third area of training will focus on dairy production, with a special emphasis on yogurt making. This segment is designed to introduce participants to simple yet effective methods of producing hygienic and market-ready yogurt, opening doors to small-scale food businesses.
Speaking on the initiative, the Jelvis Foundation reiterated its belief that “when the youth are empowered, the community develops.” The Foundation emphasized that investing in young people is a direct investment in the future of the Effia Kuma community and beyond.
The Free Skilled Training Programme 2026 is expected to attract participants from Effia Kuma and neighboring communities, providing them with practical skills that can lead to employment, entrepreneurship, and long-term economic stability.
Through initiatives like this, the Jelvis Foundation continues to demonstrate its dedication to community service, youth development, and practical solutions that create lasting impact.
