Jelvis Kwame Baidoo

Jelvis Kwame Baidoo, popularly known as “One King Show,” is a dynamic Leader, Marketer, Entrepreneur, Politician, and dedicated public servant whose journey reflects resilience, excellence, and an unwavering commitment to community development. He began his educational journey in Effia Kuma at Nana Brempong Yaw Complex for junior high school before progressing to Bompeh Secondary Technical School for his senior high education.

He continued to Takoradi Polytechnic, where he earned an HND in Marketing and emerged as a transformational student leader. During his time there, Jelvis was elected as the School of Business (SOBS) President, successfully leading and representing over 6,000 business students. His exceptional leadership skills and influence extended nationally when he became the first-ever President of the National Association of Polytechnic Business Students (NAPBS) in 2012, making him the official leader of all business students across Ghana’s polytechnics.

Upon completing tertiary education, Jelvis continued his leadership journey during national service. In 2013, he was elected President of the National Service Personnel Association (NASPA) for the Bibiani District. His outstanding work and popularity propelled him to contest and win the Western Regional NASPA Presidency, and he later advanced to the national stage, winning the NASPA National Office as the Organizing Secretary, a role in which he represented all national service personnel across Ghana. His rise through multiple levels of leadership highlighted his credibility, organizational skills, and deep commitment to youth development.

Seeking broader impact, Jelvis relocated to the United States to further his education. He completed a degree in Criminal Justice from Bethel University and advanced into postgraduate studies at the University of Tennessee, pursuing a Master of Legal Studies to deepen his understanding of law, justice, and governance.

A proud veteran, Jelvis served honorably in the United States Army, demonstrating discipline, sacrifice, and strong dedication to public service. After his military service, he joined the Memphis Police Department, serving as both a Patrol Officer and a Field Training Officer, where he played an important role in shaping new recruits and strengthening community safety and trust.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Jelvis Kwame Baidoo is the founder of the Jelvis Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on community empowerment through technology, health, and social initiatives. Through this foundation, he introduced the innovative Jelvis Free2Connect Wi-Fi, providing free internet access to the Effia Kuma community. Since May 2025, thousands of residents including students, traders, and families have benefited from uninterrupted internet access.

His philanthropy extends to health initiatives as well. Through the Jelvis Foundation, he has organized several free health care screenings for the Effia Kuma community, improving access to critical health services and promoting preventive care. His impactful and consistent dedication to giving back has inspired many young people, encouraging them to pursue leadership, education, and community service.
